What happened
Noche Buena is the meal a Filipino family sits down to at midnight on Christmas Eve. Media Noche is the same table a week later, at midnight on New Year's Eve. Between them they are the two meals the whole year is built around.

Adopt-A-Family covered sixty families for both — thirty in Barangay Poblacion West and thirty in Poblacion East — with baskets of rice, corned beef, coffee, bread and other staples. Every item was bought from a store in Muñoz, so the town's own businesses gained from the giving too. MUSA did it again the following Christmas.
